Members of my family have lived in Earith for many years. My great, great grandfather built the old Earith school at which I was a pupil in the 1950s. We moved away from the village in the 60s, but returned on the death of my grandparents. I spent most of my teenage years in Bluntisham and for many years helped Owen Abbot (the orchards next to the present school) with the fruit harvest during the 70s and 80s. I was a member of the Bluntisham cricket team until it’s demise in the late 60s
